1. Introduction

Welcome to freelancers.gov.bd (the “Service”), provided by the Government of Bangladesh. By applying for a Freelancer ID (the “ID”), you (“Applicant”, “you”, or “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). You must carefully review these Terms before submitting your application. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not proceed with the application.

2. Eligibility & Application

  1. You confirm that you are eligible to apply for the ID and that all information provided in your application is complete, accurate and truthful.
  2. You must submit any required documentation and comply with any verification steps as indicated by the Service.
  3. The ID is intended for the recognition of freelancers in Bangladesh who provide services online and/or export-earnings through eligible digital marketplaces.

3. Information Accuracy & Future Updates

By proceeding, you confirm that all information you provide now and in the future is accurate and truthful. Providing false or misleading information may result in the cancellation of your Freelancer ID, denial of benefits, and legal action under the regulations of the Government of Bangladesh.

4. Use of Freelancer ID

  1. Upon successful issuance, the ID may be used as official recognition of your freelance identity and eligibility for benefits where applicable.
  2. The ID remains the property of the issuing authority. Any misuse, fraudulent claims, or transfer of the ID to third-parties is strictly prohibited.

5. Compliance with Legal & Tax Requirements

You are responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws of Bangladesh, including but not limited to taxation, foreign exchange, and digital transaction regulations.

6. Benefits & Incentives

Where applicable, freelancers may become eligible for cash incentives for export earnings via eligible digital marketplaces recognised by Bangladesh Bank. These benefits are subject to separate policies and may change over time.

7. Termination & Suspension

  1. The issuing authority reserves the right to suspend or revoke your Freelancer ID if you breach these Terms, submit false information, or engage in prohibited conduct.
  2. Upon termination, you must cease using the ID and remove any public references to its usage.

8. Limitation of Liability

The issuing authority makes no guarantee regarding your earnings, employment, or eligibility for third-party benefits. Use of the ID is at your own risk. The issuing authority is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the ID.

9. Amendments

These Terms may be updated from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh.

All decisions, policies, and eligibility criteria related to the Freelancer ID are subject to change at any time at the discretion of the Government of Bangladesh.
